Ames, IA – Another violent home invasion in the city, and unfortunately the victim was unarmed. Police said another home invasion was reported early Friday in Ames. The robbery was reported at 1:25 a.m.

The resident told police that three people forced their way into the home and demanded money. One of the suspects displayed a handgun and struck the man in the head. The home invaders, described as three black males wearing bandanas and hoodies, took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled.

Ames, IA – An Ames man was arrested Thursday and charged with robbery, burglary, willful injury and harassment after allegedly kicking in a door and assaulting a man earlier this week.

The victim had severe swelling to his face, a swollen lip, a black eye and bruises on his face. The man reported that at 11:30 p.m., two men kicked in his door and entered his home and attacked him he told the police he was punched and kicked repeatedly, his wallet and cell phone were taken and he was threatened.
