Brentwood, Tenn -  Even 10 years later, a deadly shootout between Brentwood Police and an armed runaway bank robber still haunts one of the primary players involved in the historically violent day.

Brentwood, Tenn -  Among the key topics of Thursday’s board of education work session was a bill that passed Senate Thursday morning that would keep Tennessee cities and counties from banning guns from local parks.  If passed, Williamson County Schools facilities used by the county parks department would be impacted.

An amendment on the bill, sponsored by Sen. Stacey Campfield (R-Knoxville), prohibits permit holders to carry firearms in areas when school activities are underway, but WCS would have no jurisdiction if the activity in question is not a school-sponsored event.
