Columbia, Tenn  - According to police 1 man is dead after he kicked in a door of a residence and began assaulting one of the men inside the home. The owner of the home, Prudence Spencer, then retrieved a gun, described as a “long gun”, and shot the assailant, Thomas Darnell Moore.

Moore was killed by the gunshot. Police say the three appeared to have known each other. As of right now the case is being treated as a self-defense shooting. Moore has a long criminal history and was recently arrested for burglary, among other charges.

Columbia, Tenn  -  Is this poetic justice? A man accused of robbing an 18-year-old at gunpoint Saturday morning in Columbia says police have the wrong person. Albert Gordon, 24, faces a number of charges including aggravated robbery and aggravated assault.

Investigators say he and two other men robbed a Spring Hill teen who was selling marijuana on D.V. Circle Saturday. According to authorities, Gordon and the two other suspects were riding in a car with the purported victim.  Officials say the three suspects pulled the victim from the car and allegedly forced him to the ground on his knees.
