Cuyahoga Falls, OH - An Ohio school has joined the ranks of those allowing faculty and staff to carry firearms. The Newcomerstown Exempted Village School District's Board of Education approved a plan that will allow authorized staff to carry guns on school property when the new school year begins in August.

Newcomerstown joins schools in Michigan and South Dakota, and Utah where the state legislators gave the OK to arm teachers, as well as another Ohio school that allows janitors to carry guns. The Newcomerstown school board has stipulated that gun carriers will have to participate in a tactical training course and maintain gun permits.
