Dunbar, WV - A home invasion with two victims who were unarmed and could not defend themselves. A man bound and raped a Dunbar woman while four other suspects ransacked her home in an invasion, police said. At about 12:44 a.m. Dunbar police were called to a home along the 1200 block of Moore Avenue.

Four black men and a black woman had broken into the home and tied up the male and female homeowners, said Dunbar Police. One man sexually assaulted the female homeowner, and the four other people attacked the male, he said.

 

Dunbar, WV - Domestic violence can be very unpredictable. When officers tried to serve the DVP order, the suspect locked the door and went back into the house, in which family members gave police a key to get inside. Family members warned police the suspect might be armed with a gun, they said.  

When police went inside, they chased the suspect down.  During the scuffle, Wilcox shot himself in the chest, police said.  He later died at the hospital.  Officers risk their lives every day for the safety of the public.
