Fort Dodge, IA - An employee had just opened up the store when a man entered and demanded that she hand over the cash in the register. The employee responded by showing the robber that the register was empty, at which point the man threatened her with mace. The employee retrieved a handgun from a safe under the counter and pointed it at the criminal, causing him to flee. The employee stated:  

“It was shocking to me when I started here that there is a gun and I always thought it was over the top and we didn’t need it, but I’m very glad that we have it.”

Fort Dodge, IA – An armed robbery where the victims were unarmed and could not defend themselves. Police in Fort Dodge responded to a report of a robbery late Sunday night at the Sinclair convenience store. When officers arrived, they spoke with two of the store employees who stated that they had been robbed by a male at knife point.

The clerks were preparing to close the store for the night when the suspect entered the store and brandished a large kitchen knife before ordering both employees to the floor.
