Gadsden AL –  Talk about luck, usually I would not bring a knife to a gun fight, A Gadsden man escaped robbery despite the fact that he faced a masked gunman armed only with a knife. According to Gadsden Police reports, the victim was walking in the 2700 block of Forrest Avenue when he was approached by a man dressed in dark clothing, wearing a ski mask.

The man produced a pistol and demanded "everything,"  The victim then pulled out a pocket knife and began yelling for help. The would-be robber, however, continued to point the gun at him but did nothing else.

Gadsden, AL –   If the victim had been armed with a gun this story would be very different, Gadsden Police are investigating a robbery. The incident happened around 1:00 Saturday morning in the 300 block of South 12th Street.  

Police say a Walnut Park man was walking in the area when three men jumped him, hit him in the head several times with a 2X4 and stole $40 from his wallet.  The unidentified suspect was taken to Riverview for treatment.
