JACKSON, Tenn. – If only the victims had a gun to protect themselves! UPDATE: Jackson police have charged and arrested the second man responsible for the Wednesday night murders of Markel Owens, 21, Johnny Shivers, 36, and attempted murder of Chermaine Owens in a home invasion robbery on Walker Road in Jackson, TN.

Investigators developed the case and determined that Johnny Wade, 19, of Jackson, was the second robber and gunman with Derrick Wade, 22, of Jackson. On Friday, investigators signed a warrant for the arrest of Johnny Wade.  

JACKSON, Tenn. –  A gun saved this family!; A suspect shot in a weekend home invasion has died. 20-year-old Rashawn Calvin has died from his injuries. He was shot Saturday night during an apparent home invasion.

It happened just before 9 o'clock Saturday night on Jonesy Lane. The family held a second man until deputies arrived. He was held for questioning but not charged. Neighbors say this is a normally quiet neighborhood, but they would have done the same thing if someone was intruding.
