League City, TX, The League City Police Department believes that excellence begins when they know that being good or even competent officer won't carry the day, when doing more or trying harder as an officer won't bridge the gap, when excellence in job performance as a police officer is simply the only alternative. Excellence in their job as Police Officers is a matter of who they are and the stand they take—a stand that allows them to perform at a level  that surpasses what many thought was previously not possible, a new level of performance that defies the old limits and maps new territory for the departments and city’s future.

League City, TX, If the U.S. government bans any firearm, limits ammunition or takes other steps to infringe upon people's constitutional right to bear arms, League City officials won't enforce those federal measures, according to a new resolution. This is the official stand by the Government official of the city, It is amazing to see a small city in Texas take on the US Government and to stand up to the unconstitutional gun control laws in clear and obvious disdain for the law and violation of the US Constitution and the 2nd Amendment!

The League City City Council passed the resolution on a 7-1 vote with only one Councilman’s nonsupport of the law, Dennis O'Keefe opposed. The resolution was submitted by Councilwoman Heidi Thiess, a licensed firearms dealer and true patriot of our Country. Councilwoman Heidi Thiess stated that: "I wrote it, researched it, ran it by legal and got external input," Thiess said by phone . "I consulted with people at the state level." All were in support of her resolution, by the way was virtually unanimous.

In the resolution preamble - the "whereas" section - Thiess cites the second, ninth and 10th amendments to the U.S. Constitution, the Texas Constitution and League City residents' agreement that "the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed upon by any government or organization, political or otherwise." This is all in absolute belief and support in our US Constitution, the 2nd amendment and our traditions. All the things that Washington has unfortunately lost sight of.
