Lower Merion, PA February, 2013; The Lower Merion Township Commissioner Rick Churchill will have to answer why he and the other commissioners are what some beleive to be  covering up their promised criminal murder investigation of the Lower Merion Police. One city resident stated; "This is a perfect example why the community must be armed .... to "stand your ground" against public official criminals." 

Lower Merion, PA - Pennsylvania Law requires the Sheriff of Montgomery County to process all Applications for License to Carry Firearms. The Sheriff's Department is required under Pa. Law, Section 6109 (d) of Title 18 Pa C.S., to conduct an investigation into your application. Licenses are issued to all those who qualify, based on a background investigation done by the Sheriff's Office through the Pennsylvania Instant Check System (PICS). Once an application for license to carry is filed, the Sheriff has 45 days in which to complete the investigation and notify the applicant.  The license is valid for 5 years.  The Sheriff has the ability to revoke the license at any time for good cause.
