New Bedford, MA -   Fairhaven Police arrest a New Bedford man on home invasion charges. The incident occurred shortly before 9 am Tuesday morning as the suspect, 26 year old Horace Blake of Sawyer Street in New Bedford, forced his way into an apartment at 21 Bridge Street.

He confronted the occupants and told them he had a gun, although no weapon was shown. He stole a laptop computer and fled the apartment. The victims had no gun to protect themselves! 

New Bedford, MA -   A 46 year old New Bedford woman says she was awaken this morning by the sound of an intruder in her home on Shawmut Ave. She called police when she went downstairs and saw an open window with a chair up against it outside. After police arrived, they found a cell phone on the grass outside.

They went though the contacts list and traced the phone to the suspect, 26 year old Felix Luis Valentin of New Bedford, who was picked up less than a block away. Valentin denied that the phone was his, but his mother’s contact info was listed. What would you do? Would you want to be ARMED?
