PATERSON, N.J. A home invasion suspect allegedly armed with a knife was shot and killed by a northern New Jersey police officer who was trying to apprehend him. The shooting occurred shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday in Paterson, when the city officer encountered a motorist who fit the description of a man wanted in connection with the home invasion. A struggle ensued, and the officer fired one round which hit the suspect.
PATERSON, NJ - Two suspects posing as police officers gained admittance into a Carbon Street apartment unit in the Prospect Park section on Wednesday and robbed three victims of cash. According to Lt. Bert Ribeiro, the incident occurred at around 10:30 a.m., when a white male and a Hispanic male knocked on the door of a home in the 200 block of Carbon Street, a block from Haledon Avenue. A
fter they made their way into the home, where two Hispanic females were along with a male exterminator who was servicing the residence, the suspects forcibly tied up all three victims.
