Seattle WA; Target shooting has big bucks benefits for Washington State, according to a report released today by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, which is gathered in Las Vegas for the annual Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show. According to the report, the Evergreen State economy was boosted by $304,481,008 in 2011 — the most recent year for which data is available — and target shooting supported 2,848 jobs. It’s part of some $23 billion spent by target shooters nationally, producing some 185,000 jobs that year, the report said
Seattle, WA, A Seattle shopkeeper and gun owner scared off two armed robbers with a direct message: “I have a bigger one than you do.” Robert Moore was ringing up a customer at the convenience store about 10 p.m. when two men in ski masks burst through the door, Seattle’s KOMO News reported. While one of the men watched at the door, the other pointed his gun at Mr. Moore.
“This is a robbery,” the man told Mr. Moore, who replied “I have a bigger one than you do,” and reached for his personal firearm, at which point the two men fled.
