Severn, MD – Home invasions are increasing, be prepared, be armed with a gun for self-defense.  Police are investigating a home invasion robbery in Severn. Officers were called to a home in the 1200 block of Reece Road in Severn for a home invasion robbery.

Two men told police they were outside of their home when they were approached by three men at gunpoint. The victims were forced back into their home and a struggle ensued with the three suspects. One of the suspects discharged what the victim believed to be a toy cap gun.  

Severn, MD – What if this victim was armed and could have defended himself? Police have identified a 23-year-old Severn man who was shot to death during a home invasion. Police say their investigation into the slaying early Friday morning is in its early stages, but it appears the victim was targeted and the slaying wasn’t random.

Police were called to the home just minutes after midnight and found the victim inside the home suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say a man forced his way into the house, shot the victim and fled.
