Ardmore, OK  - Robbery is a crime that is on the rise in the city, and is why all citizens need to be armed for self-defense. An Ardmore man is behind bars after police say he tried to rob a local restaurant at gun point early Wednesday morning.

Police say 59-year old Edgar Chambers pointed a gun at a clerk at the Whataburger on Holiday Drive a little after 1 AM. When police arrived, Chambers had headed east toward Pecan Creek apartments, where he was taken into custody by police. 

Ardmore, OK  - Another robbery of a clerk that was unarmed and not able to stop the crime. A man is in custody after police said he robbed a convenience store in Ardmore and another in Love County The victim said she was shocked to find out a man tried to rob the Rockford C Mart convenience store at gunpoint on Rockford road Sunday morning.

"I can understand more if it was at night especially, but during the day, no. This was like at the morning time around 10 or 11a.m. so it's pretty early," said the victim.
